Lamb fricassee is a bit of an old-fashioned French dish, but is well worth trying. It is super tasty and has very few ingredients. You need to make some time as it does cook for one and a half hours, but doesn’t require too much effort. This week we are doubling the Bolognese and the Lamb fricassee. We are also using some food banked meals from week 21. This reduces your cooking load to only 3 meals from scratch this week, plus some sides, a leftovers meal and simple meal on Sunday night.
MEAL PLAN #23: AUTUMN/FALL
Monday – Bolognese. Recipe on the app and the blog. Double and freeze half – we think we’ll make lasagne in a few weeks with the frozen mix.
Tuesday – Lamb fricassee. Double and freeze half. Recipe on the app. Serve with mashed potato and steamed greens.
Wednesday – Vegetable tagine. Recipe on the app. Serve with cous cous.
Thursday – Chicken pie (from week 21). Simply cook the potatoes, and reheat the chicken mixture before topping with mash and then baking in the oven. Recipe on the app and the blog. Double if you haven’t made it already.
Friday – Leftovers / dining out / takeaway
Saturday – Chick pea curry (from week 21). Reheat curry while steaming the rice. Recipe on the app and the blog. Double recipe if making for first time.
Sunday – Super-simple meal night. Think about eggs on toast, baked potatoes, lebanese pizzas or toasted sandwiches.
Snacks: Banana bread – recipe on the app and the blog.
